Legacy
Legacy Badge Week commenced on Saturday last and will run until this Saturday, September 4. Legacy badge sellers will be out and around in all the Hervey Bay major shopping centres. This week is the major fundraiser for the year and funds are badly needed to help the widows and families of deceased ex-servicemen of which there are over four hundred in Hervey Bay alone. All Legacy workers are volunteers who give their time freely in order to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us.
Please consider the work Legacy does and buy a Legacy badge.

Notice to Members
It has been brought to our attention that some people are scamming mainly ex-National Servicemen. The ex-serviceman is initially sent a letter advising them that they are entitled to a Service Pension and to contact the author. Once they do this they are then sent a letter with AMF headed paper (which has not been used for many years) asking for their bank details to put the service pension into, their date of birth and other personal information. Their bank accounts are then cleaned out.
